The NERIST is basically a type of entrance exam which is conducted by North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology every year. The NERIST exam is meant for those who want to take admission into the different courses of Engineering and technology. Different streams in which the students can take admission after clearing this examination include Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and communication engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. There are different level of exams such as NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III. A detail of these levels is mentioned below:
NEE-I is meant to be conducted for those who want to get admitted in the base modules of technology streams.
NEE-II is for those candidates who want to get enrolled into degree modules such as Diploma module in Technology, Degree module in forestry and others.
NEE-III is for the candidates who wish to take admission into Degree module in Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.
Who can apply?
Eligibility Criteria for NEE-I
Applicants must have passed Class 10 / Matriculation examination or an equivalent examination with Science and Mathematics. The candidates must have passed in both Science and Mathematics subjects. If candidates are result awaited, then they may also appear in the NERIST Entrance Examination. In such cases, the candidates who will be selected must present the original pass certificates and mark-sheets at the time of their admission. Otherwise, their admission shall stand automatically cancelled.
NEE-II
For Technology Stream- Applicants with 10+2 PCM/PCMB should have passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), separately.
For Forestry stream- Applicants with 10+2 PCB/PCMB should have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB), separately.
